In this area of Sweden, hunters put out feed for the deer to help them survive the grueling winters. The snow crust is monitored before hunts to ensure that fleeing animals aren't stuck or hurt. The dogs, outfitted with GPS collars, reward themselves after successful hunts by licking the dead animal's wounds.
